The regulations may require irrigating based on soil moisture, and at Field Day you’ll get hands-on experience with the latest soil moisture monitoring technology and a discussion of the pros and cons. Lawn Care Training Session In the afternoon you may join us for the Lawn Care training session, which is available for an additional fee, and open to everyone in the turf industry. Space is limited for this session, so register early. Learn from UW faculty and staff how to: identify grasses, calibrate a sprayer, calibrate a spreader, identify and control turfgrass diseases, insects and weeds. Field Day is an annual event hosted at the OJ Noer Turfgrass Research and Education Facility in Verona, WI. The event features an educational tour for professional turf managers highlighting the latest in turfgrass management technologies. There is also a trade show with nearly every supply and piece of equipment to make turf management more effective. The event is made possible through the collaboration of the Wisconsin Turfgrass Association, the UW-Madison College of Agricultural & Life Sciences and Extension. |
